Amber Light Photography wins local and international Awards!!
Hi everyone!
First of all, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Angie, Karen's new assistant. I'm helping do phone calls and newsletters, among other things. This month I have some exciting news! This November Karen entered 4 prints for competition in the Professional Photographers Association of British Columbia and also the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. She won 2 awards locally and won 4 Bronze awards at the international level. Congratulations Karen!! We are all thrilled! On another happy note - we're all looking forward to the summer! We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all good health and success in the coming year from us all at the studio!

Photoshop Basics - How to use Photoshop - Everything from"What do the brushes do?" to using layers and basic retouching. Studio Lighting Basics - Using different flashes and lighting set-ups. Basic portrait lighting. How to use one light and reflectors.
Visual Mapping & Mandala Healing - These two courses will help you to visualize your most passionate life and the dreams you would like to follow. You will learn some immediate goal setting tips, as well as some creative healing techniques.

Top 5 Tips for Improving your Photos 1. Use a plain background. Simplify your background to keep the focus on your subject. 2. Use your flash outdoors. This will fill-in any unwanted dark shadows on your subjects face. 3. Get down to their level. For pets and small children try taking the photo at their eye level. 4. Take some vertical pictures. Most people forget that you can turn your camera sideways! 5. Move it from the middle. Place you subject off-center for a more dynamic photograph.
